You should not have to work out whose problem it is

When a site fails, we help identify what is actually broken, then coordinate the technical details so it gets resolved.

When something stops working, the cause is not always the website itself. Hosting, DNS, email delivery, caching, plugins, third-party scripts and payment gateways can all be involved. If you have ever been sent back and forth between providers, you will know how quickly a “small” issue becomes disruptive.

Our troubleshooting service gives you one point of contact. You speak directly with Sean, the developer investigating the fault. We will confirm what should be happening, what is happening instead, and what access is needed to diagnose it. Where another provider needs to act, we can share clear technical notes so the right team can fix their part.

  • Start with your existing website, no rebuild required
  • Investigation and scope agreed before chargeable work begins
  • Plain-English updates, including risks and next steps
  • Option to move into ongoing website maintenance once resolved

If the issue relates to a WordPress build, we can also discuss WordPress development. For business systems and portals, see custom web applications.

Clear troubleshooting, direct support, practical outcomes

We focus on finding the cause, communicating clearly, and fixing what you approve, so your website can get back to supporting the business.

You deal directly with Sean

You will not be passed between sales, support and developers. Sean investigates the issue, explains what has been found, and carries out the agreed work. It is a straightforward way to get answers and move forward, especially when time is critical.

  • Works across connected services

We consider hosting, DNS, email delivery and third-party integrations, not just the page that is failing.

  • Defined scope before repairs

We outline the investigation and likely next steps first, so you can approve work with clarity.

  • Plain-English updates

You get an explanation of the cause, what was changed, and any follow-up recommendations.

  • Ongoing support available

If you want it off your hands long term, we can discuss hosting, updates, security and ongoing changes.

Problems we can investigate and resolve

From annoying faults to issues stopping enquiries, orders or logins, we help you diagnose the cause and fix it properly.

If your website is losing enquiries, showing errors, or failing at a key step, it needs structured troubleshooting. We start by reproducing the issue where possible, checking logs and recent changes, then narrowing down the fault so the fix is targeted.

  • Website errors and unavailable pages: 500 errors, blank pages, routing issues, misconfigured caching, or server-level problems.
  • Forms and missing notifications: submissions failing, spam filters, SMTP issues, or delivery problems in business email.
  • Slow or inconsistent performance: heavy scripts, database bottlenecks, plugin conflicts, resource limits, or intermittent hosting faults.
  • Checkout, payment and login problems: failed transactions, webhook errors, session issues, and third-party gateway checks.
  • Layout and mobile display issues: menu problems, responsive CSS faults, browser-specific bugs, or theme breakage.

We work with WordPress websites, our own Genesis builds, and Laravel-based systems. If you suspect the problem is related to hosting, see website hosting. If the underlying issue is ongoing updates and security, review web maintenance. For larger fixes and improvements, explore website design and development.

Start with the website you have, not a rebuild

We can take over an existing WordPress site or support a bespoke system, then recommend the most sensible next step for your situation.

Many people assume they need a new website to get reliable help. Often that is not true. If the problem is specific, a targeted repair may be all you need. If the issue points to deeper technical debt, we will explain that clearly so you can decide how far to go.

We regularly troubleshoot websites and applications built by other providers, including plugin-heavy WordPress sites. We can also support Genesis and Laravel-based applications where the issue sits in custom code or a business workflow.

  • Rapid assessment of platform, access and likely causes
  • Fixes prioritised by business impact, such as lost enquiries or failed checkout
  • Clear separation between urgent repairs and optional improvements
  • Option to move into ongoing maintenance to reduce repeat incidents

If you need ongoing feature work, you may also want Laravel development or custom CRM development, depending on what the website connects to.

How website troubleshooting works

We confirm the symptoms, agree the investigation, then test and verify the result once the fix is in place.

Troubleshooting is most effective when it is structured. We keep things practical and transparent, so you know what is being checked and what you are approving.

  1. Tell us what is happening: share the website address, affected page and what you expected to happen. Screenshots and timings help, but you do not need a technical diagnosis.
  2. Agree the investigation: we confirm what access is required and what is included in the first round of investigation. Any initial costs are explained before we begin.
  3. Review findings and agree fixes: we explain the cause, the options, and the recommended fix. If further work is needed beyond the agreed scope, we discuss it with you first.
  4. Test and confirm: we re-test the affected user journey, confirm notifications, and document what changed.

If your issue involves business email delivery, we may recommend setup work for Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. If it is an availability issue, we may review your hosting as part of the investigation.
